I am using the terms disruption and dissolution interchangeably, although there is a difference. (For instance, in international adoption - we refer to it as "disruption" when it is technically a dissolution - post adoption. When reading the statistics, the "disruption" statistics refer to children placed in a home - and for some reason the adoption was not finalized.)
